Death Dot Com

How can I survive the internet? This Flash animation gives a radical response. Death dot com has become my “greatest hit” since it was posted few months ago on Goregasm.com. First produced in early 2001, here is an improved version (some sounds were added). In the meanwhile the basic idea has been exploited.

The animation has been cited in a paper by M. Lombard and M.E. Selverian of the Temple University, “Telepresence after Death“.

Earth – Mars Travel / Iconsurf

EARTH-MARS TRAVEL “Mars wants you, Earth wants you to leave”. EarthMarsTravel is the first european travel agency set up to assist the future dwellers of the Red Planet. Take-off in 2052. What stands behind can be found in AboutEarthMarsTravel (check the 2002-2052 chronology).

ICONSURF has robots collecting thousands of icons (favicon.ico) from all over the web. You can just enjoy watching them, surf to their original websites or submit your own. The curator states that “good icons link to good websites”, and I think that he’s quite correct.

Falling in Love

I’m working on a song by NOFX, “Falling in Love” from the “So long and thanks for all the shoes” album. This is the intro. I’m not sure, but I think I’ll start all over again. I’m sick and tired of all this tracing.

S.O.H(L).O.

In 2002 Elly Nagaoka asked me to produce an animation related to an architectural exhibition titled SmallOfficeHomeOffice that took place in Tokyo. Starring Gabriele Guerra as the Homeless Employee,  the song is “Miss Brown” by Switchyard.

Below is the original file. Quality of sound and images is way superior.

Conform and Obey

www.conformandobey.co.uk “….God is dead, but the stench from his omnipresent rotting carcass lingers on….”
One of the best sites I’ve ever visited (the entry page is stunning). The blog (Family of Breath) is structured into two columns, on the left a directory supports a disturbed yet fascinating mindstorming, on the right links are randomly posted as the blogger navigates the web. Don’t miss the 26 things.

www.deadmaneating.com What meal would you order facing the electric chair? Some confront death with an empty stomach, others with a load of junk food. This site brings you closer to the lives of the condemned, not only describing their last meal, but also the motives of their guiltyness and redemption.

www.unamourdesite.com What a lovely website, animations and webmastering by Vincent Du Crest.
